Next-generation telecommunications and connectivity: Sustainable AI for a hyperconnected world

Next-Generation Telecommunications and Connectivity with Aurora Ramos. This keynote will focus on the challenges of embedding artificial intelligence natively into next-generation telecommunications network management, particularly in the context of 6G. The session will explore how AI can act as a key enabler to optimize network performance, energy efficiency and sustainability, while meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of large-scale immersive applications and holographic communications. Drawing on practical experience from the European 6G-XR research project, real use cases across segments such as RAN and Edge will be presented, highlighting both the benefits and the technical and operational challenges of implementation, as well as the role of the compute continuum in enhancing quality of experience for advanced XR scenarios. The keynote will be delivered by Aurora Ramos from Capgemini.
